Founded
in 1945, OPEIU Local 3, a democratically run and progressive
union, is committed to fairness and economic justice in our
work places and in our communities.
Located
in the San Francisco/Bay Area, Local 3 is focused on uniting
workers in 3 sectors: clerical, universities and non-profits.
We
are a union that represents a diversity of members and industries.
We are committed to developing a strong presence in the workplace
and to protect and enhance the working lives of our members
and their families.
The
members of this local union are united in the belief of the
dignity and the value of the work that we do and the services
that we provide. We elect our leaders and vote on important
union decisions at the quarterly union meetings held in our
San Francisco union office.
