Our Mission

Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 3 is a democratic, progressive union that strives to empower our members through better working conditions, solid contracts and strong representation.

We are a union that represents a diversity of members andindustries, and are committed to winning fairness and economic and social justice at our workplaces and in our communities.

Through organizing and political efforts, we join with our labor and community allies as we build a stronger and more united movement.

Who We Serve

Located in the San Francisco/Bay Area, Local 3 is focused on uniting workers in 3 sectors: clerical, universities and non-profits.

We are a union that represents a diversity of members and industries. We are committed to developing a strong presence in the workplace and to protect and enhance the working lives of our members and their families. The members of this local union are united in the belief of the dignity and the value of the work that we do and the services that we provide. We elect our leaders and vote on important union decisions at the quarterly union meetings held in our San Francisco union office.
